Early Response of ‘Mexican’ Lime, ‘Fina’ Clementine Mandarin, and ‘Campbell’ Valencia Orange on Selected Rootstocks Grown under Fertigation Practices in an Oxisol in Puerto Rico

In Puerto Rico, Huanglongbing (HLB), detected in 2009, continues to produce losses orchards across the island. Efforts clean propagation materials and select different combinations of scions rootstocks mitigate disease have been a priority. 2016, an experiment was established Isabela Coto clay series soils at 120 m assess ‘Mexican’ lime, ‘Fina’ clementine mandarin, ‘Campbell’ Valencia orange grafted ‘Swingle’ citrumelo, ‘HRS 812’, 897’. Tree growth parameters, tree fruit production, HLB incidences, mortality were evaluated under fertigation system. Higher production obtained with mandarin when 812’ followed by lime had higher On basis total incidence, outstanding, yielding fruits values even though they infected HLB. Moreover, 897’ rootstock demonstrated be potential for Rico conditions.
